14:59...And Counting

Time could be ticking away on Kate Gosselin's 15 minutes of fame...especially after last night's DISASTROUS performance on "Dancing With The Stars".

On last night’s show, taped rehearsals were shown of the pair and a strained relationship between the two was quite obvious. Gosselin hasn’t been the dancing prodigy that Dovolany has hoped for and said “Nothing in dancing is natural to Kate.” He continued to say, “I’ve never been questioned in my teaching.” Gosselin seemed to have two left feet during rehearsals and didn’t seem to grasp the moves as well as Dovolany hoped. He topped off the rehearsals with a simple, “I quit.”

The drama climaxed with a warm and fuzzy moment in which Dovolany returned, apologized to Gosselin and she thanked him. “A lot of people quit on me in life,” she said and finished it all off with a hug.

However sweet that may have been, there performance truly suffered. Their performance was somewhat of a train-wreck and Gosselin was stiff and robotic in her movements. The judges were less than impressed and she ended up with one of the lowest scores of the night, 15.

Fake Tan F***-Up's...Yikes

I understand the whole fascination with "Jersey Shore" (let's face it...it's a train wreck and THAT'S why people watch it) but I really don't get people who want to EMULATE what they see on that show - including the FAKE TAN!!!

Earlier today, "The Sun" website published a bunch of pictures of people who have used fake tanning - both of the tanning bed & product varieties and the results are frightening to say the least.

Take a look at the photos here - and if you look like any of these people remember this one simple thing: CARROTS should be ORANGE...not PEOPLE!

GaGa's LeLegal TrTroubles

Fresh from her prison stint in the video for “Telephone,” Lady Gaga could soon be headed to court — not to face any number of angry grindhouse filmmakers whose works inspired that video, but a lawsuit from a songwriter and producer who says he’s the one who gave her that famous stage name.

The Associated Press reported that Rob Fusari, who helped write Lady Gaga songs including “Paparazzi” and “Beautiful, Dirty, Rich,” filed a $30.5 million lawsuit against the singer, saying she has frozen him out of her career as she has become more successful.

Mr. Fusari, who has also worked on hit songs like Will Smith’s “Wild, Wild West” and Destiny’s Child’s “Bootylicious,” said in his suit that he was first introduced to the singer Stefani Germanotta in 2006, helping to guide her from a rock musician to a dance artist and nicknaming her Lady Gaga, from the Queen song “Radio Ga Ga.”

He said he had received more than $600,000 from Lady Gaga but had not received his full share of song royalties, merchandising revenue and other fees. Representatives for Lady Gaga have not yet responded to the suit, which was filed in a state court in Manhattan.

Have You Been Locked Out?

So in the last few weeks, I've noticed that NOW2K has been reaching it's "listener cap" on a pretty regular basis. What exactly does this mean? Well, it means that there are certain times when people might want to listen to NOW2K but CAN'T because all the listening slots are full, which sucks for the people being "locked out".

Now, there are 2 options for me:

• I can continue encouraging people to sign up for Live 365's VIP Membership which guarantees you will NEVER be "locked out of listening"and also gives you access to listen to NOW2K on your iPod Touch, iPhone and Blackberry.
• Or I can INCREASE the number of available listener spots - which means a slight increase in my broadcasting fees (but don't worry...I'm not going to start charging you money to listen...NOW2K will ALWAYS be free).

So, I'm turning it over to the masses. You can either send me an e-mail with your thoughts OR answer the poll question on the right-hand side of the page.

Canada's New Haiti Tribute Song

There have been a ton of tribute/fundraising songs done to raise money for Haitian earthquake relief, but I have to tell you this one is my favorite and it's got an amazing story behind it:

Musical icon, Bob Ezrin announces that more than 50 of the country's best and brightest young artists gathered today at The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver to record a song dedicated to the recovery efforts in earthquake ravaged Haiti.

The song, a rendition of hip-hop artist, K'naan's "Wavin' Flag" will be released in the coming weeks with proceeds going to Free The Children, War Child Canada and World Vision Canada.

"With the wealth of young artists coming out of Canada, it was obvious that this is something we had to do," says Ezrin. "K'naan's lyrics in Wavin' Flag embody the pain, passion and determination of the Haitian people and lend the hope of a brighter future. The response from the artists has been sensational, and I am so proud that together we may help to make a difference."
