M.I.A.'s Controversial New Video

M.I.A. has premiered a new video, for her song "Born Free", on her website. It's almost nine minutes long . . . and it features some extremely violent images. (--In fact, it's so graphic that it's been BANNED from YouTube.)

In the video, U.S. soldiers are shown mistreating and killing minorities represented in this case by redheaded males.

Check out the video here (NSFW due to profanity & some nudity).

Lindsay...Unreliable? Nah...

Lindsay Lohan has (apparently) been dropped from a movie because - wait for it - she's UNRELIABLE!!! Yeah...shocking...I know.

The movie, "The Other Side" also stars Woody Harrelson, Giovanni Ribisi, Alanis Morissette and Dave Matthews.

The director says he, quote, "simply chose to move on from Lindsay." But so-called "sources" say the people financing the film were nervous about relying on her.

Classical Music Sucks...Right? WRONG!!!

Raise your hand if you think Classical Music sucks. Yeah...that's what I thought you'd all say. Well, get ready to be proven WRONG!

Let me introduce you to an Australian group called "Aston". Here's a little bit of info about them:

Aston’s musical vision is as simple as it is breathtakingly beautiful: to present a set of classic and contemporary songs like no one has ever heard them before. Contemporary classics presented as classical music.

The six members of Aston, aged between 21 and 23, have come straight out of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, the most distinguished music school in Australia. Some members are not due to graduate until the end of the year, but they are all already professional young musicians of the highest calibre. What began as a side-project amongst a bunch of students created an instant buzz that’s led to ASTON being signed by Warner Music Australia, recording a debut album and now preparing to take their unique modern classical sound out to audiences across Australia and the rest of the world.

Here's a sample of what they can do...it's their take on Lady GaGa's hit "Telephone":

Lindsay vs Dr. Drew!

VH1 addiction "expert" DR. DREW PINSKY has been diagnosing LINDSAY LOHAN from afar for months now, and she's had enough.

Lindsay told some website called GossipCop.com, quote, "He's a quack and a sell-out...Please tell him to stop!"

Most recently, Drew said, "If she were my daughter, I would pack her car full with illegal substances, send her on her way, call the police, and make sure she was arrested. I would make sure she was not allowed to get out of jail. I would then go to the judge and make sure she was ordered to a minimum of a three year sobriety program."

TBS Is With Coco!

In news that's being described with words like "surprising," "shocking" and similar open-mouthed adjectives, CONAN O'BRIEN has announced plans to resume his late-night comedy career on . . . TBS.

There aren't many details yet, but here’s what we know:

Yesterday, Conan posted a Twitter message . . . saying, quote, "The good news: I will be doing a show on TBS starting in November! The bad news: I'll be playing Rudy on the all new 'Cosby Show'."

He later added, quote, "In three months I've gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I'm headed to basic cable. My plan is working perfectly."

It's not a joke. His new show - which is still untitled - will run from 11:00 P.M. to midnight, Monday through Thursday. It will take the place of GEORGE LOPEZ'S talk show, "Lopez Tonight", which will be bumped to midnight.

Obviously, this situation brings up a lot of parallels to the NBC Late-Night Mess . . . when Conan refused to bump "The Tonight Show" back to midnight to make room for JAY LENO'S return to late-night. But Conan isn't Leno-ing George.

Conan's manager, Gavin Polone, said, quote, "That sounded very similar to [what happened at NBC]. Conan said, 'We're not putting ourselves in the position of shoving somebody out of his show.'"

TBS boss Steve Koonin made his initial pitch to Conan less than two weeks ago . . . but ONLY after getting George's blessing first. Then, George called Conan personally to invite him on board. Polone said, quote, "It really was George who made this happen." At that point, negotiations reportedly progressed very quickly.

To make sure there's no doubt about how he feels, George released the following statement yesterday: "I can't think of anything better than doing my show with Conan as my lead-in. It's the beginning of a new era in late-night comedy."

There's no specific debut date yet, aside from it happening sometime in November.

Be A Guidette...Make $2200?

Those morons from MTV's "Jersey Shore" are EVERYWHERE these days. But that didn't translate into big bucks for them right off the bat.

"Parade" magazine dropped its annual "What People Earn" edition yesterday . . . and they say the show's breakout star, NICOLE "SNOOKI" POLIZZI, only banked $2,200 in 2009. That's $200 per episode for the first season of "Jersey Shore" . . . which shot last year and aired from December of '09 through this past January. There were 11 episodes in all.

It's not clear if that's ALL the money Snooki made in '09, or if that's all she made from the show. Either way, she'll earn a lot more this year. Shooting on Season Two is currently underway, and cast members are now being paid a reported $10,000 per episode.

Plus, ever since "Jersey Shore" blew up, she and other members of the cast have been able to make big bucks from personal appearances.

Bombshell McGee...Gets Around

It seems that Michelle "Bombshell" McGee has a "thing" for the tatooed lesser-known husbands of famous women.

Word is coming out that in addition to an affair with Sandra Bullock's hubby Jesse James, McGee also messed around with P!nk's man, inked-up motocross legend, Carey Hart!

A source close to P!nk and Hart say that the alleged affair between Hart & McGee happened in September 2008 during the Action Sports Retailer convention in San Diego.

However, if the story is actually true, it might turn out to be "no big deal" since P!nk and Hart were on that little "break" they took from the marriage at the time.
