BEYONCÉ and TAYLOR SWIFT were the big winners at last night's Grammys. Beyonce won SIX awards including Song of the Year, for her hit "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)". That's the most Grammys won by a woman in a single night. The previous record of FIVE was held jointly by Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Norah Jones, Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse and Alison Krauss. In addition to the new record, Beyoncé is also the only woman to win five Grammys in one night TWICE.
Taylor got scored four Grammys, including the big one: Album of the Year, for her second disc, "Fearless".
LADY GAGA won two Grammys, but both were handed out the live broadcast kicked off. But she did get to kick off the show with her duet with ELTON JOHN. Gaga started off solo, singing "Poker Face". Then she and Elton sat across from each other at a double-sided piano and sang a mash-up of her song "Speechless" and his classic, "Your Song". Check it out here:
One of the highlights of the show was MICHAEL JACKSON'S lifetime achievement award . . . which was accepted by Michael's two eldest children, PRINCE and PARIS. Check out the video from TMZ's website.
Other big winners included Kings Of Leon who picked up a Grammy "Use Somebody" (Record of The Year, Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group & Best Rock Song), Black Eyed Peas who won for their #1 hit "I Gotta Feeling" (Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group) and their album "The E.N.D."
