Dead Celebs Come Back To Life!!!

Remember last week when I told you about the celebrities who decided to "digitally die" until $1 Million was raised for children with AIDS? Well, they reached their goal...but not without difficulty.

As of Saturday, they'd only raised about $250,000 and as of 5pm yesterday (December 6) they'd only reached $500,000...so where did the rest of the cash come from?

This guy:

And who is he? He's Stewart Rahr, a New York City billionaire who made his fortune from pharmaceuticals and who is known for his Snooki-esque tan and large philanthropic donations. Rahr gave $500,000 to Keep a Child Alive on Monday night.

Thank God...now we can get back to our regularily scheduled Kim Kardashian Twitter rants & raves.

God Bless The USA...and Katy Perry

I make no secret of the fact that I'm a HUGE fan of Katy Perry...and I'm also a fan of celebs who do cool stuff for a good cause.

This is a photo from Katy Perry's appearance at "The USO Presents VH1 Divas Salute The Troops" on Friday night.

I'm no military expert, but I think Katy may have just singlehandedly won the war.

Uh Oh...Hackers Hit Celebs Computers!

There's a distinct possibilty that some rather "revealing" pictures might be hitting the internet in the next few days.

Apparently a pair of Geman computer hackers managed to raid the computers of more than 50 different pop stars, including Justin Timberlake, Lady GaGa and several others.

The pair's haul allegedly includes several unreleased songs by various artists and a photo of Ke$ha having sex - which they tried to blackmail her with (according to a report by UK newspaper "The Telegraph"). The pair, who haven't been charged with any crime yet, used Trojans to access the computers.

The pair - who bragged about their exploits in several on-line forums - came to the attention of authorities after fans warned Kelly Clarkson that unreleased songs of hers were available on the internet.

They Only Need Another $750,000...A Little Help?

Hmmm...seems like this idea might have backfired.

Earlier in the week, I told you about several celebrities (including Lady GaGa, Alicia Keys, Kim Kardashian, Ryan Seacrest, Justin Timberlake and many more) who "died" in an effort to raise money for the "Keep A Child Alive" campaign as a part of Worlds AIDS Day.

In a nutshell, they all stopped using their Twitter & Facebook accounts and said they wouldn't be back until $1 Million was raised.

Well, as of this afternoon (Saturday, December 4), according to a ticker on the BuyLife.org website, less than $250,000 had been raised.

Could it be that people are just happy to have people like Kim Kardashian off Twitter?

Whoops.

KIM KARDASHIAN IS DEAD...Kind Of

What you're looking at is Kim Kardashian's contribution to the "Keep A Child Alive" campaign for World AIDS Day, which is tomorrow (December 1st).

Basically, Kardashian - along with several other celebrities including Ryan Seacrest, Alicia Keys, Lady GaGa and Justin Timberlake - will digitially "die", signing off of their Twitter & Facebook pages until $1 Million is raised for people living with AIDS/HIV in Africa.

For details on how you can donate & "resurrect" your favorite celebrity, visit BuyLife.org.

Don't Bother Calling Or E-Mailing...I'll Be Busy

If you're thinking of trying to get in touch with me at all tonight, don't bother. Don't call me. Don't e-mail me. Don't text me. I'll be busy...watching the 2010 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

This year's show features all your favorite Victoria's Secret Angels along with performances from Katy Perry & Akon.

This has become my own personal Christmas tradition. Don't judge me. Just watch this video of the Victoria's Secrets Angels with their take on Katy Perry's hit "Firework":

It's MOVING WEEK!!!

THIS IS THE BIG WEEK!!!

NOW2K is officially making the move south from Edmonton, AB to Calgary, AB and as such, I'll be shutting down the "live" stream of NOW2K. However, I will continue to broadcast in "basic mode" meaning that you might hear some unsightly gaps between songs and even (GASP!) COMMERCIALS!!!

The new NOW2K studios should be up and running by November 30th, so I hope to back broadcasting "live" by then.

Thanks for your patience on all this!

The Worst Song In The History Of Music...EVER

I've been around the radio biz for a very VERY long time. In that time, I've been subjected to some crappy music. I mean REALLY crappy...stuff like "The Hampster Dance" by Hampton The Hampster, "Who Let The Dogs Out" by The Baha Men and "The Macarena" by Los Del Rio.

This steaming pile of crap takes the cake.

It's Angelina from "Jersey Shore" and her "hit", entitled "I'm Hot".

There's an old saying that goes, "Children should be seen and not heard". Apparently, that should apply to reality TV show stars as well.

The Most Bizarre Thing You'll See This Week

This hit the interwebs this week...and it's probably the most painful, ridiculous, bizarre thing I've seen in a very VERY long time...The Situation from "Jersey Shore" and Bristol Palin (who starred together on the latest season of "Dancing With The Stars") filmed a Safe Sex PSA for The Candies Foundation together.

Yes...you read that correctly; a single mom who had the good judgement to sleep with this guy and a guido douchebag who makes it his mission to nail as many chicks as possible every week on reality TV did a PSA about SAFE SEX.

Really? Check it out for yourself.

Where's a giant meteor when you need one?

Why I Love Canada (or "Why The F*** Do I Live Here?)

Yesterday morning, Calgary, AB (the new home of NOW2K) got hit with the first snowfall of 2010...and boy oh boy, was it ever FUN (yes...that's sarcasm dripping from your computer...ha ha!). Several hundred minor traffic accidents, a few major ones and LONG commutes to & from work for everyone here. Not to mention, we also had temps around the -20 Celcius mark...which are expected to continue right through the rest of the week.

So the next time you want to complain about the weather where you live, just look at the above picture and be thankful that's not YOU!

Awesome New Video From P!nk!!!

This is AWESOME!!! P!nk (who has a new album coming called "Greatest Hits...So Far") has finally released the video for her latest single, "Raise Your Glass". The song is all about being who you want to be & not caring what other people think...and the video is sure to raise a few eyebrows. Check it out for yourself:
